Annual Fundraiser a Big Success!

Newton Black Belt Academy held their Annual Fundraiser this past weekend.  Our students spent the month of May collecting pledges for how many kicks they could perform in 5 minutes!  Students from age 5 to 60+ participated and performed over:

20,855 KICKS!!!

We raised over $2500.00 in total for the Fundraiser. Partial proceeds will be going to the Surrey Food Bank and to support our Instructors travelling to World Championship for training this July.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ANAKIN AND CHARLES WHO WON THE GRAND PRIZE OF MOUNTAIN BIKES EACH!

Way to go to all of the parents who assisted with counting and cheering on their family and all the students.

The WINNER of the MOST KICKS IN 5 MINUTES goes to Sage!  She was the only one to beat Master Karpiuk by doing 850 kicks!!!

At Newton Black Belt Academy one of our goals is to instill the importance of community service into our students.  In the past we have raised funds for the Surrey Food Bank, other non-profits, church youth groups, a student who lost their home from a fire, and natural disasters.  The kickathon is a great opportunity for families to encourage one another through such events and give back to our communities.
