Surrey Black Belt Academy raises $1150.00 for the Surrey Food Bank
Surrey Black Belt Academy’s Annual Kick-a-thon Fundraiser raised $1150 for the Surrey Food Bank this past June. We are so proud of the efforts from our Black Belt Academy students to raise funds for such a worthy cause. Each year, our students reach out to family, friends, neighbours and relatives to raise funds for local non-profit groups. This effort not only assists organizations like the Surrey Food Bank, but instills in our students the importance of community service.
$1150 raised for the Surrey Food Bank!!!
This year, our students collectively performed 40,001 kicks in 5 minutes! We had students as young as 5 and as old as grand-parents participate. Fellow students assisted with cheering and counting for each other. We even had parents join the fun by cheering on their own children and helping them with counting. One of the goals of Surrey Black Belt Academy is to help families succeed by understanding the importance of serving the community and working together in harmony as family and friends.

Not only did our students from Surrey Black Belt Academy have the opportunity to raise funds for local charities and non-profit organizations, they were also able to win prizes. They did this by the levels of support they raised for the fundraiser. The more they raised, the more prizes they won. Plus, everyone who raised at least $100 was given one draw for the Grand Prize… A Mountain Bike. Congratulations to both Levi and Samantha for winning a Mountain Bike each. And a BIG SHOUT OUT to Samantha and all of her supporters for raising the most money – $280.
CONGRATULATIONS TO LEVI AND SAMANTHA – TOP PRIZE WINNERS!!!
