We have a great opportunity May 25th with Meaghan VanDiermen, Registered Clinical Counsellor. Meagan is dedicated specifically to the areas of trauma (especially preverbal trauma) and anxiety with a focus on the therapeutic nature of the parent-child relationship. She is effectively able to work with parents to find a greater understanding of the roots of their child’s experiences, to make sense of difficult behaviours and implement strategies that process and minimize trauma induced responses.

The great thing about this parenting seminar is that Meaghan loves to field questions.  Although she does come with a topic to present she is always sensitive to the issues at hand.  Meaghan usually teaches simple but proven and effective techniques for dealing with self-regulation, social media challenges, discipline issues, homework stress and all around better family communication.  Sometimes, as parents, we need to hear this information for the second or third time before it sinks in.
