Congratulations to our Newest Black Belts!

On November 8th, Newton Black Belt Academy inducted 7 new 1st Degree Black Belts!  Congratulations to Zoe, Kiara, Ranbir, Aryan, Guneet, Nimrit and Shaan.

These students have been training an average of 3 1/2  years to earn their first degree Black Belt.  All of them had to continue their training even during the Covid lockdown.  They challenged themselves to persevere while taking zoom classes from home.

We are so proud of how hard they all worked.  Not only

taking all of the hours of classes but also the many examinations and testings to reach the point of their final test.  They all had to first pass a day long pre-testing time of training with all the instructors.  Not only was the training physical, it was also tough mentally.

Testimony from one of our 10 year old’s:

“I started my karate in March 2021 during COVID. I started my journey
because when COVID started my school, swimming & skating classes
were closed, then I used the devices more, my mom didn’t like it, then
my parents found ATA Academy to learner something new. My favorite
part about this journey so far is self defense skills that taught me if
someone try to bully me how to deal with that situation & helped me to
self-confidence to protect myself.”
